Senior Database Infrastructure Engineer

Compas is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong database administration expertise to support a complex, specialised technology environment. This role will focus on the installation, configuration, testing, patching, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of a custom‐built pre‐release non‐relational database, while supporting migration activities, infrastructure stability and secure database operations.

Location: QLD, ACT, VIC or SA
/n Contract Duration: 12 Months
/n Security Clearance Requirement: Current NV1 clearance required

Essential Tasks

/n

/n

- Administer database configuration, security, schema and objects in line with agreed standards.

/n

- Manage database software installations, upgrades,



patching and supported environment currency.

/n

- Support migration activities, troubleshooting, performance tuning and system stability.

/n

- Implement access controls, data management processes and disaster recovery activities.

/n/n

Key Criteria

/n

/n

- Demonstrated experience administering complex database management systems.

/n

- Experience working in a highly specialised technical team setting.

/n

- Strong skills across Linux, Red Hat, Ansible, Open Shift, Open Stack, Git Lab and scripting.

/n

- Experience with M204, SOUL, IBM z/OS database/files management or non‐relational databases is desirable.
