Your Role

You’ll take responsibility for a small maintenance crew and the day-to-day delivery of quality garden maintenance across high-end residential properties throughout Brisbane.

This is very much a hands-on leadership role.

You’ll be working alongside your team while also making sure jobs run efficiently, standards are maintained and clients receive the level of service they expect.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and motivating a small garden maintenance crew

- Organising the day and keeping your team on track

- Maintaining high-end residential gardens

- Pruning, hedging and detailed plant care

- Mowing, edging and presentation work

- Planting, mulching and seasonal garden maintenance

- Weed and pest management

- Monitoring plant health and identifying maintenance requirements

- Ensuring each property is presented to a consistently high standard

- Communicating professionally with clients when required

- Training and mentoring less experienced team members

- Maintaining protected and efficient work practices

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

You might already be running a garden maintenance crew,



or you could be an experienced gardener who has naturally become the person others turn to and is ready to officially step into leadership.

Either way, you’ll need strong practical garden maintenance skills and the confidence to take responsibility for both people and outcomes.
Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Solid experience in garden or landscape maintenance

- Strong horticultural and plant knowledge

- Experience leading, supervising or mentoring others

- Strong pruning, hedging and garden-care skills

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to plan and organise your team's workload

- Confidence communicating with clients and team members

- A positive, hands-on leadership style

- Current QLD driver’s licence

A horticultural qualification would be highly regarded, but practical experience, leadership ability and the right attitude are equally important.
