The Role

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.

To provide a high quality secretarial and administrative support (encompassing clinical, academic and research activities) for the Director, Deputy Director & Nurse Manager (NM) in the Emergency Department.

To ensure secretarial and administrative duties for the Director, Deputy Director & NM and where applicable other senior staff in the Emergency Department, are carried out in an efficient, timely and confidential manner.

Selection Criteria





- Proven high level administration skills in a health environment with recent experience
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a high volume work environment and manage multiple tasks
- Recent experience in shift work rostering and medical recruitment
- Demonstrated high level experience with Microsoft Office products, Healthroster, Vmoney, TESL, Stafflink; E-Recruit.
- High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and to develop and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff and to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work with minimal guidance with a demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork but also to work independently
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving
