Learning & Development Officer | State Government Opportunity

Location: Brisbane CBD

Rate: $55.00 - 60.00 hr + super

Contract: August 2026 - February 2027 (approx. 6 months)

About the Role We are seeking an adaptable and detailed-oriented Learning & Development Officer (AO4 equivalent) to support the design, implementation, and review of key training programs across the organization. Joining a high-performing team in Brisbane CBD, you will play a crucial role in providing end-to-end administration, logistical coordination, and resource preparation for staff development initiatives state-wide.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct desktop research to support continuous improvement in L&D; processes and resources.

Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing training materials for internal stakeholders.

Track, analyze, and audit L&D; procedures, submissions, and business resources.

Provide administrative and logistical support to team members and regional officers.

Prepare high-quality written materials including guides, reports, agendas, minutes, and presentations.





Build and manage positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Work both autonomously and collaboratively to manage priorities and meet operational deadlines.

Key Requirements

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all business levels.

Agility: Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and changing tasks.

Organization: High attention to detail with strong self-management and problem-solving skills.

Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint). Experience with Adobe Acrobat is highly desirable.
