Are you an operational leader who excels at building the systems, processes and partnerships that enable high-quality programs to deliver real population health impact?

Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Health Promotion Operations Manager to lead the operational backbone of our Health Promotion service. Working closely with the Director Health Promotion, you'll drive operational planning, resource management, quality improvement, performance monitoring and reporting to ensure our programs are effective, sustainable and achieve measurable outcomes for the people of Western Sydney.

In this role, you'll lead the development of the structures, systems and processes that support the delivery of health promotion programs across the service. You'll oversee key enabling functions including communications, partnerships and engagement, planning and evaluation, and team operations, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver evidence-informed, high-quality work that aligns with local and state priorities.

How to Apply

Selection Criteria:

1. Tertiary Qualifications in a health promotion, public health, management or related discipline and/or significant experience in one or more of these disciplines.

2. Demonstrated experience and leadership skills in population health strategic planning and program delivering including the application of public health/health promotion practice, relevant legislative and other frameworks and methods for health promotion including research, evaluation, quality improvement and evidence informed management of complex health issues.

3. Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills in all settings and circumstances, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills including a variety of writing and editing styles (reports, research & evaluation, briefs, media, translation of information for promoting health promotion work)

4.



Demonstrated people management experience to plan, manage and evaluate all aspects of small to medium sized professional teams including motivating and coordinating professional staff, setting meaningful organisational and personal goals and implementing performance development programs.

5. Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships both internally and externally and negotiating effectively to achieve sustainable health goals.

6. Demonstrated ability to analyse, understand and work with, and within, a range of systems, sectors and agencies to implement change.

7. Working knowledge or understanding of the WSLHD community context and demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a cross cultural context, particularly with members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse communities

8. Current unrestricted Australians driver's licence
