Title: Wedding & Leisure Sales Executive
Reports To: Director of Sales / Conference & Events Sales Manager
Position Overview:
The Wedding & Leisure Sales Executive assists the Director of Sales / Conference & Events Sales Manager in the execution of sales related activities that are aligned to guest needs, experience and C&E; budgets. Duties provides professional, courteous, and helpful service to guests and/or customers. This position works closely with internal stakeholders from other hotel departments to ensure events are planned and executed professionally and efficiently.
In this role, you'll manage and coordinate wedding and leisure bookings, while also driving sales for future reservations.

Key Accountabilities
- Effectively administer and coordinate all conference sales and administration requirements for a range of events including conferences, meetings, banquets, social and weddings (dependent on location)
- You'll focus on managing weddings and social events, ensuring the hotel's success in the wedding market.
- You'll oversee the entire sales process, from inquiries to site inspections, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- You'll coordinate weddings and leisure events year-round.
- You'll strive to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- You'll maintain a high standard of service and product quality for all clients
- To up sell and suggestively sell additional items to enquiries, customers and client to increase revenue spend
- Appropriate best practice understanding and maintenance of the IVvy event management system including details of sales activity, client information, tentative and confirmed bookings including invoices.
- Best Practice understanding and maintenance of conference database of key contacts / clients , ensuring accuracy and clean data for future use and effective communication
- Prepare regular reports as directed by local management team or Group Sales team and adhoc reports where requested
- To effectively and in a timely manner communicate with Reservations regarding room blocks
- Answer all correspondence and enquiries received during the working week within 24 hours of receipt; maintain good public relations with clients
- Works with other departments to maximise sales opportunities and customer / guest satisfaction and experience, generating and driving revenue and repeat business
- Track and proactively gain insights for reasons of lost business and enter appropriately into Ivvy, escalating to management where appropriate to ensure EVT is always competitive in market
- Keep abreast of hotel localised and EVT national C&E; campaigns
- Perform other duties as required by the leadership team relating to sales and the efficient execution conference and event activities to maximise guest experience
Skills & Experience

- Demonstrated previous experience working in a similar role
- Knowledge of hotel operating systems, e.g., Opera, iVvy
- You'll have a positive attitude, creative flair, and passion for crafting unforgettable wedding experiences.
- You'll have a strong enthusiasm for the wedding industry and awareness of current trends.
- You'll have a high attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- You'll have excellent communication skills across various channels (face-to-face, phone, email).
- You'll have a high level of personal presentation and dedication to quality service.
- You'll have experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- You'll have availability to work Tuesday to Saturday, with flexibility for occasional evenings when needed.
- You'll stay current with wedding trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance the overall experience.
