The Health Safety & Wellbeing Advisor will provide advice, support and partner with line and senior managers on health, safety & wellbeing (HSW) and environment strategies, initiatives, and activities to deliver continuous improvement in HSW culture.
You will provide specialist advice to all Crown business units in relation to legislative requirements, practices, systems, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and the safety of Crown’s employees and patrons and also assist in the development and implementation of health and safety related policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Support business operations in the identification, assessment and control of workplace hazards.
To inform the appropriate manager of any health & safety problem or defect which may give rise to danger and reporting promptly any incident which may occur.
Coordinate the design and delivery of agreed health and safety risk management projects.
Support and mentor business units in incident investigations and the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
Conduct analysis of incidents/hazards to identify trends and report on findings
About you
Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or related field
Certificate IV in Workplace Assessor and Training Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years experience working as an HSW Advisor or in a similar role
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Self-motivated/team player with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experienced leading and supporting Incident Investigation
Experience in leading risk assessments
Sound reporting and analytical skills
Strong influencing, engaging, coaching and mentoring skills
