The Opportunity

Ventia's N2P (Network to Premises) team is playing a key role in delivering the next phase of Australia's NBN network expansion, connecting communities with faster and more reliable fibre infrastructure.

We are seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee the delivery of NBN construction activities across Victoria and Southern New South Wales. This role can be based anywhere in Victoria or NSW, with regular travel to field locations throughout the region.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will supervise subcontractor crews, coordinate multiple active projects, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements.

This is an autonomous role offering flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to be part of a significant national infrastructure program.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate subcontractor crews across multiple active sites
- Oversee civil and telecommunications construction activities
- Ensure compliance with Ventia, NBN and client safety and quality standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits and progress reviews
- Support planning and scheduling activities to meet project deliverables
- Liaise with subcontractors, clients, local councils,



customers and community stakeholders
- Assist with community enquiries and site-related concerns
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate reporting
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to specification

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a Field Supervisor, Civil Supervisor or similar role
- Civil construction experience, ideally within utilities, telecommunications or infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors and field crews
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence using computers and project management software
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
- A proactive, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving capability

Requirements

- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Victoria and Southern NSW
- Flexibility to work across multiple project locations and manage competing priorities

Travel Requirements

This role supports projects across Victoria and Southern Recent South Wales. Travel to field sites is a regular part of the position, with some weeks requiring overnight stays (typically up to two nights), while other weeks may involve local travel only.
