Pay Range: $75,498 to $80,054 + super + salary packaging benefits
About Forensicare
Forensicare is Victoria's specialist provider of forensic mental health services. We deliver recovery-focused programs that support consumers living with serious mental illness or problematic behaviours who are connected to, or at risk of contact with, the justice system across inpatient, community and secure settings throughout Victoria.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and organised Program Support Coordinator to provide operational leadership and oversight of Program Support Workers across Thomas Embling Hospital.
Reporting to the Forensic Programs Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating workforce coverage, supporting staff performance, and ensuring therapeutic programs and supports are delivered safely, consistently and effectively.
This role sits at the centre of hospital program delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support daily activities, leave programs, living skills development and other recovery-focused therapeutic supports. You will also act as a key liaison between hospital leadership and Program Support Workers, helping ensure operational reliability and high-quality consumer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide operational leadership to Program Support Workers across Thomas Embling Hospital.
- Manage workforce coverage, task allocation and day-to-day operational requirements.
- Support effective communication between managers and frontline program delivery staff.
- Oversee resource allocation and assist in developing materials that improve program visibility and accessibility.
- Support staff wellbeing, reflective practice and performance development.
- Monitor service outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and documentation requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support coordinated consumer care.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant qualifications in mental health, disability support, allied health assistance, welfare or a related field, or willingness to undertake further study.
- Experience coordinating staff, schedules and operational activities.
- Solid organisational and administrative skills, including database management, reporting and documentation.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary environments.
- Knowledge of the needs of people experiencing mental illness and the complexities of secure forensic settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and promote consumer engagement.
- Experience supporting, coaching or supervising staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
