Coober Pedy Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to join its Emergency Department and Acute Care team on a six-week contract from 4 September to 16 October 2026. Based in Coober Pedy, South Australia, this role offers the opportunity to work across ED triage and acute care in a regional healthcare setting. The position is remunerated at AUD71.54 to AUD92.71 per hour, providing flexibility and meaningful clinical work in a close-knit community hospital environment.

Preferred Requirements





- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife
- Demonstrated experience in emergency department or acute care settings
- Competence in triage assessment and high-acuity patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a small, multidisciplinary team
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery (or equivalent), with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or experience in Emergency Nursing
- Midwifery experience or additional qualifications in maternal and child health
