What is the opportunity?
Join our Quality Assurance team supporting day-to-day compliance with legal and licensing requirements in relation to food safety. This is a diverse role working alongside the front lines of a production environment. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance management team, your role would be to:
- Conduct quality inspections across livestock, product and processing operations;
- Monitor food safety, hygiene, and quality standards throughout production;
- Collect and test product samples to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements;
- Support and participate in quality audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Identify quality issues and work closely with production teams to implement solutions;
- Maintain accurate records and quality documentation;
- Assist with product traceability, compliance, and biosecurity requirements;
- Provide guidance and support to team members on quality and food safety best practices; and
- Help ensure our products consistently meet industry, customer, and export standards.
This position will work minimum 38 hours per week across a rotating roster with start times ranging from 3:30am to 9:00pm.
What are we looking for?
This position is open to applications from experienced Quality Assurance professionals as well as individuals looking to commence a career in QA.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety, quality and compliance
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams and stakeholders
- Ability to follow procedures, standards, and compliance requirements
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
While not essential, certifications including Animal Welfare, AUS-MEAT and relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Quality Assurance will be highly regarded.
