Our client is a well-established, multi-brand fashion wholesale business with a strong presence across Australian department stores, standalone retail, and digital channels. Known for product integrity and a loyal customer base, the business is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a commercially astute General Manager to lead the way.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will hold full P&L; accountability for the business, leading retail, wholesale, digital, and support functions. This is a rare opportunity for a senior retail leader to shape strategy, drive commercial performance, and build a high-performing leadership team in a business with genuine ambition to scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end P&L;, setting and delivering against budget, margin, and growth targets.
- Develop and execute the multi-year commercial strategy across retail, wholesale, and digital channels.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a senior leadership team spanning retail operations, merchandise, marketing, and finance.
- Drive operational excellence across store network performance, supply chain, and inventory management.




- Represent the business at board level, providing clear reporting on performance, risk, and prospect.
- Champion a high-performance, values-led culture aligned to the brand's heritage and customer promise.
- Identify and pursue new growth avenues, including market expansion and channel diversification.

Selection Criteria

- Proven General Manager, CEO, or senior executive experience within fashion, apparel, or lifestyle retail.
- Demonstrated success owning a P&L; of comparable scale, with a track record of sustainable revenue and margin growth.
- Strong commercial acumen paired with genuine, hands-on retail leadership.
- Experience leading multi-channel businesses, including omnichannel and wholesale.
- Outstanding people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams at all levels.
- A curious, values-driven leader who brings integrity and compassion to decision-making.
