With a strong and growing pipeline of projects, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site and project team to deliver Urban Property Group's projects from the design stages through to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring HSE compliance and effective subcontractor safety management across all project sites
- Drive a "Built with Pride" quality culture, embedding robust quality planning and risk management processes
- Lead the design team from DA through to Construction Certificate stage, ensuring buildability, efficiency, and coordinated documentation
- Manage the full construction and occupation certificate process, including all external authority requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders — authorities, consultants, subcontractors, and finance
- Maximise project profitability through effective cost control, procurement, and contract risk management
- Oversee trade package procurement and ensure accuracy of subcontractor scopes and contracts
- Manage progress reporting for accurate profit and loss forecasting and cash flow
- Develop and oversee construction programs that align commercial, statutory, and construction requirements
- Identify and manage critical path issues, planning risks, and build-ability opportunities
- Ensure design intent and the principal's project requirements are fully met
- Lead, coach, and develop project team members, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management on large scale, mixed-use projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. MS Project, Procore).
- High attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate your team including subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of construction techniques, building codes, and regulations is essential.
- Proficiency with Procore, Jobpac and Payapps project cost control systems.
