Position objectives

- To act as Solicitor and Counsel in routine, complex and critical civil matters and appeals on behalf of the State of Tasmania, its instrumentalities and Agencies before a range of courts and tribunals, with a particular emphasis on claims made by those who, as children, were the subject of abuse whilst in care.
- To provide comprehensive, accurate and timely advice to the State and its Agencies in respect of civil law matters.
- To provide qualified supervision, direction and instruction as may be required to junior legal practitioners in the Abuse in Care team.
- To participate in performance management and file reviews as directed by the State Litigator

Location - Hobart, Tasmania

Salary Range - $175,521 to $200,027 per annum
