An established allied health provider is seeking an Speech Pathologist to join a regional service operating under a highly flexible FIFO model.
Based from Adelaide, you'll travel interstate to support an established NDIS caseload on a fortnightly FIFO rotation, with your travel, accommodation and vehicle expenses covered by the organisation.
This opportunity could suit an SP who enjoys working autonomously, wants variety in their caseload and likes the idea of concentrating their face-to-face work into an onsite week, with greater flexibility when working remotely.
The Role
Working within a multidisciplinary allied health workplace, you'll provide community-based Speech Pathologist services to NDIS participants across a range of ages and presentations.
The caseload has a strong paediatric component alongside adult participants and can include both straightforward and more complex clinical work.
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Speech, language and communication assessments
- Paediatric Speech Pathology services
- Assessment and management of speech and language difficulties
- Communication and capacity-building interventions
- Development and implementation of individualised therapy plans
- Community-based assessments and intervention
- NDIS documentation and report writing
- Collaboration with participants, families, carers and other health professionals
There is flexibility to align your caseload with your experience and clinical strengths while continuing to develop across different areas of Speech Pathology.
A Different Way of Working
This isn't your typical Monday-to-Friday clinic position.
You'll travel to a regional location once per fortnight,
completing the majority of your face-to-face appointments during your onsite rotation.
Outside of the onsite component, there is flexibility to complete documentation, reporting and other responsibilities remotely.
Clinicians are trusted to manage their own schedules and structure their working hours around client requirements and agreed productivity expectations.
What's On Offer?
- $110,000–$120,000 + super, depending on tenure and progression, with pay increases rewarded
- All required FIFO flights covered
- Accommodation provided while working regionally
- Access to a vehicle while onsite
- Eligible travel-related expenses covered
- Fortnightly FIFO rotation
- Work-from-home flexibility
- High level of autonomy over your schedule
- Established NDIS caseload
- Mix of paediatric and adult participants
- Opportunity to work across complex and non-complex presentations
- Multidisciplinary allied health environment
- Supportive and growing organisation
- Streamlined interview process
About You To be considered, you will have:
- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership/eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status
- Current driver's licence
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to confidently manage your own diary and caseload
- Willingness to travel on a regular FIFO rotation
Previous NDIS, community or paediatric Speech Pathology experience would be advantageous, however, we're interested in speaking with Speech Pathologists from a variety of clinical backgrounds.
