Join the Canstar Group and help Australians compare better!
We are seeking a detail-oriented, solution-driven Senior Content Delivery Specialist to drive operational excellence across our Content Management System (CMS). Sitting at the intersection of Editorial, Marketing, SEO, Product and Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring our digital publishing ecosystem is efficient, modern, and built to scale.
In this role, you’ll translate how our editorial and marketing teams need to work into clear and testable CMS requirements. You’ll be maintaining feature backlogs and owning user acceptance testing so that what ships is what was specified. From project managing content migrations to streamlining ticket intake and applying AI where it removes real manual effort, you’ll help our teams publish faster and with fewer workarounds to deliver high quality, impactful content to millions of Australian consumers.
This role is ideal for an experienced content operations or digital publishing professional who loves bringing structure and efficiency to dynamic tech platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
- CMS Feature & Backlog Ownership: Gather and define marketing requirements for new CMS features, elements, and templates. Maintain and prioritise the feature backlog to align with business objectives.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all new CMS features and templates, ensuring strict acceptance criteria are met prior to release.
- Content Migrations & Platform Maintenance:
Project manage content migrations between CMS platforms and build/maintain content in line with established standards, templates, and workflows.
- Process Design & Optimisation: Build processes to ensure current functionality is applied consistently across builds, outdated pages are systematically updated, and the CMS ticket intake process is continuously streamlined.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend key project meetings, present on behalf of the Editorial team, and maintain clear release communications to keep all stakeholders aligned.
- Documentation & Innovation: Create and maintain operational documentation, checklists, and templates while leveraging AI and automation to drive operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Digital Publishing Background: Proven experience working within a fast-paced content, publishing, or digital media environment.
- Quality & Release Judgement: Experience defining acceptance criteria and running user acceptance testing.
- Technical & CMS Acumen: Strong technical understanding with hands-on experience operating, managing, and improving an actively changing CMS.
- Process & Project Management: Demonstrated ability to design, optimise, and execute operational processes while managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
with the confidence to present to and align with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability & Precision: High attention to detail with the ability to navigate ambiguity, changing priorities, and solve complex problems collaboratively.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with a headless or API-first CMS (Contentful, Payload, Drupal, Kontent.ai or similar)
- Experience with structured or componentised content (content modelling, reusable components)
- Familiarity with digital asset management platforms like AEM
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive publishing environment (financial services, health, government)
- Functional knowledge of AI tools and automation to streamline content workflows.
- Strong familiarity with SEO principles as they apply to page templates, metaadata and migrations.
- Experience in ticket management systems (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar).
