About the role

Provide professional nursing/midwifery services within the Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS), delivering person-centred care while developing clinical capability through ongoing professional development, experience, and accountability for own practice and delegated activities.

Key duties of the role

- Assess client needs, deliver person-centred nursing/midwifery care, and coordinate appropriate health services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
- Participate in quality improvement activities that contribute to client safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting
- Provide health promotion and education,



to clients or groups to improve the health outcomes of individual
- Participate in evaluative research activities within the practice setting
- Provide, with increasing capacity over time, support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, including Enrolled Nurses

Skills and Experience

- Registered Nurse/Midwife with current or eligible NMBA registration and practising certificate
- Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practice standards
- Experience delivering safe, high-quality, person and family-centred care
- Knowledge of healthcare legislation, standards, ethics and quality improvement practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
