Help shape the next chapter of Purple Giraffe in Queensland

Purple Giraffe is looking for a commercially minded Marketing Consultant to play an instrumental role in managing and growing our Queensland operation.

This is not your typical marketing role.

It is a hybrid Marketing Consultancy and Business Development position, combining strategic client management with the opportunity to build relationships, develop new business, and expand Purple Giraffe’s presence across Queensland.

You will work directly with clients to understand their businesses, identify opportunities, and develop marketing strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes. At the same time, you will be out in the Queensland business community building connections, developing partnerships, and identifying opportunities for Purple Giraffe to grow.

About Purple Giraffe

Purple Giraffe is an established outsourced marketing consultancy helping businesses access experienced marketing expertise without the need to build an entire in-house marketing department.

Our Head Office is in Adelaide, with an office in Perth and the Purple Giraffe Queensland office, which was established in March 2026 following the acquisition of OH! Marketing, a highly successful Brisbane boutique marketing consultancy with more than 20 years in the market.

We are now entering the next stage of our Queensland growth. This role will be central to that journey.

Working closely with the wider Purple Giraffe team, you will help strengthen our existing Queensland client relationships, develop recent opportunities and continue building our presence within the Brisbane and broader Queensland business community.

What you’ll be doing

Your role will span two key areas:

Marketing Consultancy

You will become a trusted marketing partner to a diverse portfolio of clients, helping them turn business objectives into practical marketing activity.

You will:

- Manage and develop key client relationships

- Understand client businesses, markets and commercial objectives

- Develop strategic and action-based marketing plans

- Advise clients across brand, positioning, communications and marketing strategy

- Identify market trends and commercial opportunities

- Develop proposals, presentations and planning documentation





- Manage marketing campaigns and projects from strategy through to execution

- Work across digital marketing including social media, websites, SEO, AEO, GEO, Google and email marketing

- Develop content including campaigns, blogs, eNewsletters and marketing communications

- Collaborate with Purple Giraffe’s marketing, digital and graphic design team

- Manage the workflow and small team within the Queensland, Spring Hill office

- Analyse campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement

- Manage client budgets, timelines and deliverables

- Coordinate suppliers, stakeholders, events and external partners

Business Development & Queensland Growth

You will also take an active role in growing Purple Giraffe’s Queensland business.

This will include:

- Developing and nurturing new business opportunities

- Building relationships across the Queensland business community

- Attending networking events, conferences and industry functions

- Researching prospective clients, industries and partnership opportunities

- Proactively developing relationships with potential clients

- Responding to Queensland new business enquiries

- Preparing proposals, quotes and presentations

- Developing referral and strategic partnerships

- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships

- Working with the broader Purple Giraffe team on Queensland marketing initiatives

- Helping achieve agreed growth and commercial targets for the Queensland business

The role has clear responsibility for client retention, business development, commercial performance and the ongoing growth of Purple Giraffe Queensland.

About you

We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, communicate confidently, and get things done.

You may currently be working as a Marketing Consultant, Marketing Manager, Account Director, Client Strategy Manager or in a similar senior marketing role.

You will ideally bring:

- Proven marketing consultancy or marketing management experience

- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Marketing Manager or comparable role

- Solid strategic marketing capability

- Hands-on experience developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns

- Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in business development





- Confidence developing relationships and networking with business owners and senior decision-makers

- Strong client management and presentation skills

- Excellent written communication, including proposals, plans, reports and marketing content

- Broad digital marketing knowledge across social, websites, CRM, automation and search

- Strong project management and organisational skills

- The ability to manage multiple clients, projects, deadlines and budgets

- Confidence interpreting marketing performance and turning data into recommendations

- Experience managing or mentoring team members

- The ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborative

- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline is also required under the Position Description.
