THE OPPORTUNITY
Location: Head Office Birtinya, Sunshine Coast, with periodic travel to Production Plants within Australia.

The Financial Accountant supports the delivery of accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls and insightful analysis across the business. This role contributes to month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives, while partnering with stakeholders to support informed business decisions.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience working within complex business environments, where you have experience working alongside senior management in leading and coordinating accounting processes across a Finance team. You will also be skilled in EOM/Year end process and Planning, Budgeting, and forecasting.

YOUR RESPONSILBITIES

As Financial Accountant, you will be overseeing the financial accounting for our new start up plant in Victoria, where you will:

- Prepare and support month-end close activities in accordance with reporting timetables.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items within agreed timeframes.
- Analyse cost centre performance and partner with budget owners to explain key variances.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and schedules in line with IFRS/AASB accounting standards.
- Support group consolidation with timely and accurate data and reporting schedules.




- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in conjunction with FP&A.;
- Support capital expenditure reporting, including project tracking, budget monitoring and reconciliation activities.
- Support revenue recognition processes in accordance with accounting standards.
- Maintain ERP data integrity and ensure financial master data remains accurate.
- Partner with the audit team to deliver year-end schedules and supporting documentation.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

You will have:

- 1-3 + years in a similar role.
- Accounting degree.
- CPA / CA qualified (or equivalent).
- Manufacturing / processing industry experience preferred.
- Large company or Big 4 | Mid-Tier background.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations.
