About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team at BFI Fire in Boolaroo, NSW. This is a full-time position based at our Boolaroo office, where you will play a crucial role in driving our sales growth and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. As an Internal Sales Representative, you will be the vital link between our customers and our technical teams, managing inbound enquiries, processing orders, and providing expert advice on our fire safety products and services. This role is instrumental in supporting our business objectives and delivering exceptional customer experiences that reinforce BFI Fire's reputation for reliability and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

- Manage inbound customer enquiries via telephone, email, and other communication channels, responding promptly and professionally to requests for information and quotations

- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are captured correctly and deadlines are met

- Provide product knowledge and technical guidance to customers regarding fire safety systems, equipment, and services, ensuring they understand our offerings and benefits

- Liaise with customers to gather specifications and requirements, translating these into appropriate quotes and proposals

- Maintain detailed customer records and transaction histories in our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for the wider team





- Coordinate with installation and technical teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction

- Handle customer enquiries regarding existing projects, maintenance schedules, and compliance requirements

- Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the existing customer base, cross-selling products and services where appropriate

- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and sharing market insights and customer feedback

- Maintain knowledge of fire safety regulations, industry standards, and BFI Fire's product range to provide accurate and compliant advice

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in an internal sales, customer service, or sales support role, ideally within the fire safety, building services, or related technical industry

- Strong telephone communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers quickly and professionally

- Proficiency in using CRM systems and the Google Workspace Suite

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and prioritise tasks effectively

- A customer-centric approach with a genuine commitment to resolving issues and exceeding expectations

- Knowledge of fire safety systems, regulations, and compliance requirements, or a willingness to develop this expertise

- Robust attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and record-keeping

- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team workplace

- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities
