Sharp & Carter Healthcare

Melbourne

Sharp & Carter Healthcare is partnering with an established and growing allied health provider to appoint an experienced Senior Physiotherapist across Melbourne's Northern suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist ready to take the next step in their career, combining a varied community-based caseload with clinical leadership, mentoring and service development responsibilities.

You'll join a collaborative allied health environment focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to clients within their own homes and communities, supporting them to maintain their mobility, independence and quality of life.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you'll balance hands-on clinical work with the opportunity to support and develop other clinicians within the team.
You'll have autonomy over your caseload while contributing to clinical quality, team development and continuous improvement across the service.
Clinical Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include:

- Assessing clients and developing individualised, evidence-based treatment plans
- Managing a varied community-based Physiotherapy caseload
- Supporting clients to improve mobility, function, independence and overall quality of life
- Applying advanced clinical reasoning across a range of presentations
- Providing advice regarding appropriate treatment and rehabilitation options
- Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Supporting the development and implementation of clinical programs
- Identifying opportunities to improve clinical processes and service delivery
- Developing clinical resources and educational materials
- Maintaining contemporary clinical knowledge through ongoing professional development

Leadership & Mentoring
As a senior member of the team, you'll also have the opportunity to:

- Provide clinical mentoring and coaching to Physiotherapists
- Support junior clinicians with complex presentations and clinical decision-making
- Assist with team development and capability building
- Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Support the onboarding and development of new team members
- Promote high standards of clinical practice and documentation
- Work closely with senior clinical leadership to continually improve service delivery

This provides an excellent pathway for an experienced clinician who enjoys mentoring others but still wants to maintain their own clinical caseload.
What's On Offer? You'll be joining an organisation that places a genuine emphasis on clinical quality, professional development and clinician autonomy.

Benefits include:

- Competitive remuneration package
- Generous travel allowance
- $1,500+ annual professional development allowance
- Regular clinical training and development
- Structured onboarding and induction
- Support from experienced clinical leadership
- Genuine senior-level responsibilities and career progression
- Flexible and autonomous community-based working environment
- Health and wellbeing initiatives
- Employee Assistance Program
- Regular team connection and social activities
- Salary packaging options
- Novated vehicle leasing options
- Cooperative multidisciplinary environment
- Strong focus on work-life balance

About You We're looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who combines strong clinical capability with a genuine interest in supporting and developing others.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised qualification - o/s applications will not be considered unfortunately
- Current AHPRA registration
- Approximately 4+ years of Physiotherapy experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Experience managing a varied clinical caseload
- Previous mentoring, supervision or leadership experience would be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Solid organisational and time-management capabilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Reliable access to a vehicle
- Ability to service clients across Melbourne's Northern suburbs

Experience within community, aged care, rehabilitation, home-based care or a similar environment would be advantageous.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
This role offers the opportunity to step into a genuine Senior Physiotherapist position without moving away from clinical practice.

You'll have the ability to mentor other clinicians, influence clinical quality and contribute to service development, while continuing to work directly with clients and build meaningful relationships within the community.

For Physiotherapists looking for greater responsibility, autonomy and career progression within a growing allied health environment, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
