Position Overview
The RTO Student Support Team Leader role will be based in Broome on a Full-time basis. You will be responsible for overseeing the student support and administration teams within KAMS' Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This pivotal role is essential in building capacity within the Aboriginal health workforce throughout the Kimberley region.
The successful candidate will coordinate various processes, ensuring that both student recruitment and support are managed effectively, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Direct RTO Administration and Student Support teams to achieve operational objectives, conduct staff appraisals, and ensure the team has the necessary qualifications and support.
- Student Coordination: Oversee student recruitment and manage graduation, workshops, and training events, ensuring compliance and timely processing of student documentation.
- Recruitment and Induction: Collaborate on recruitment campaigns and manage the student enrolment process, ensuring marketing materials are current.
- Student Resources: Ensure training resources and facilities are ready for use, and manage catering and transport needs.
- Student Support: Address student inquiries and manage travel arrangements, while responding to well-being issues as needed.
- Student Record Management: Ensure proper documentation and records management in compliance with RTO policies.
- Compliance: Maintain audit readiness and adherence to KAMS RTO standards and Registration Standards 2025.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF)
and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. The ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism is essential.
- Understanding of AQTF and related compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in managing diverse teams and stakeholder relationships.
- Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement within the RTO environment.
- Current WA Driver's licence and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain these).
Desirable qualifications include experience in Aboriginal Medical Services or Registered Training Organisations, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), and connections to the local Aboriginal community.
Salary & Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary of $105,843 per annum pro rata, alongside a range of attractive advantages that include:
- Accommodation Allowance of $13,000 per annum pro rata,
- Annual Airfare of $1,285 per annum (after 12 months of service),
- District Allowance of $2,920 (single) or $5,840 (double) per annum pro rata, and an
- Electricity Allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata. Additionally, there is an
- option for Salary Sacrifice up to $30,000 per annum pro rata.
