About the role

Henty Gold Mine is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead mine planning activities and provide technical support across underground operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for mine design, production scheduling, forecasting and mentoring the planning team to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and promote a strong safety culture across underground operations

- Develop mine designs, approved plans and production schedules





- Prepare mine forecasts and budget schedules

- Provide technical support to underground mining operations

- Mentor and develop Planning, Production and Graduate Engineers

- Coordinate with Geotechnical and Ventilation Engineers

- Liaise with Geology, Survey, Technical Services and Operations teams

- Drive continuous improvement in mine planning, scheduling and operational performance

About you

- Degree in Mining Engineering

- Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience

- Strong experience with longhole and development mining methods

- Advanced Deswik mine design and scheduling skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Current Driver's Licence

- Advanced reporting and mine planning software skills highly regarded

- SSE qualifications advantageous
