HARKE Recruitment is partnered with a welcoming school community in Queensland’s Gulf region to appoint a passionate PE & Sports Teacher across both Primary and Secondary year levels.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys getting involved beyond the classroom. Alongside delivering engaging Health and Physical Education programs, the successful teacher will play an important role in overseeing and coordinating organised sport across the school.

With a generous remote area allowance, relocation / accommodation assistance and annual travel support included, this opportunity offers an attractive package for a teacher looking to experience regional Queensland while securing a permanent position.

About the Role

The successful teacher will deliver HPE across Primary and Secondary year levels, creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences that encourage students to develop healthy, active lifestyles.

A key component of the position will also involve overseeing organised sport, helping coordinate sporting activities and opportunities across the school.

The position is available from Term 1, 2027, with the school potentially open to a Term 4, 2026 start for the right candidate.





Added Benefits

- Salary: $86,300–$119,900

- Fully furnished housing: Available for just $100 per week

- Remote Area Allowance: $11,700 per annum, paid fortnightly ($450 per fortnight)

- Relocation allowance: $2,000 towards travel and accommodation associated with relocating to the region

- Annual travel reimbursement: $2,000 per annum

- Permanent, full time teaching position

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

- Is passionate about Health, Physical Education and school sport

- Is confident teaching students across both Primary and Secondary year levels

- Can effectively organise and oversee sporting programs and activities

- Brings energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community

- Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues and families

- Is adaptable and excited by the opportunities that come with working in a regional community

- Holds Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or is eligible to obtain it
