About the Position: The Chef role is central to delivering the restaurant's continental menu and maintaining the high standards expected of an in-house kitchen at a busy foreshore venue.
The position involves preparing and cooking a full range of dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation for both daily service and small functions, directly supporting the restaurant's reputation for quality dining in Rockingham.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare,



cook and present a full range of continental cuisine dishes to consistent quality and presentation standards Set up kitchen sections for service and complete all closing and cleaning duties Receive, rotate and manage stock, controlling costs and ordering ingredients efficiently Create and maintain recipes and menu items, and assist with seasonal or special dishes Supervise and guide other kitchen staff during service Liaise with front-of-house regarding customer dietary requirements and service needs Ensure all food safety, hygiene and kitchen equipment standards are maintained Support small function catering as required Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III IV in Commercial Cookery, or Diploma / Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
Solid technical cooking skills in continental cuisine, ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen, positive organisational and stock-control skills, and effective interpersonal and communication skills for team and customer liaison.
