ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to significant growth, we are seeking a hands-on and highly motivated Yard & Machine Care Assistant who will be required to conduct wash functions, refueling, on and off hire inspection activities at our new Forrestdale Branch. You are part of the team responsible for the presentation and quality of the equipment as it moves through the yard process and into the hands of our customers. The role ensures equipment orders meet the required timelines while always adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Commitment to safe operating practices, including adhering to environmental standards

- Facilitate the machine care function by washing and detailing the interior and exterior of equipment and ensuring the presentation meets a high standard

- Conduct on and off hire inspection processing and adhering to the company process

- Identifying mechanical issues or damage and escalating through the correct channels

- Carry out lubrication top ups and refueling as required during the off hire process

- Forklift operation for loading / unloading and moving equipment and attachments within the yard





- Competency operating various equipment throughout the yard and workshop

- Driving continuous improvement and supporting a harmonious work workplace

- Participate in and/or proactively engage in staff training (as required)

- Support the broader rental team during leave coverage or times of surge

- Customer outcomes focused

About You

- Experience in a similar role within yard operations or equipment rental businesses

- Mechanical aptitude - identify basic mechanical defects

- Commitment to health, safety and environmental processes

- Experience working within a results driven team and being a contributor to the team environment

- Possess basic computer skills - including familiarity with tablets/ipads.

- Attention to detail and accuracy with excellent presentation, communication, and organisational skills.

- Ability to confidently operate a range of earthmoving equipment

- Have a forklift license

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Role will commence in Kewdale and move to Forrestdale in late 2026. The successful candidate may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, drug screen and police check.
