Senior Azure Platform Engineer Duration: 12 months with possibility for 2 x 12-month extensions Location: ACT (hybrid) Hourly rate: $78 - $94 per hour Clearance: Negative Vetting 1 Our government client is seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer with 5+ years' experience designing, building, and supporting secure Azure cloud platforms and Landing Zone environments.
Solid expertise in AKS, Azure Container Apps, App Services, Azure Container Registry, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, networking, and infrastructure automation.
Skilled in Kubernetes administration, Terraform Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and container technologies including Docker and Helm.
Experienced in integrating security scanning (SAST, DAST, container image scanning), implementing RBAC and identity management, and maintaining observability platforms using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Proficient in Python, Bash, Azure CLI, and PowerShell automation, with experience managing secure, compliant settings aligned to security and governance standards.




Provides L2/L3 operational support, technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, documentation, knowledge transfer, and mentoring of team members.
