Gate Opening Systems Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Gate Installer/Technician to install, assemble and commission mechanical gate systems, access control equipment and associated automation components.
The role primarily involves mechanical fitting, alignment and installation of gates, boom barriers and turnstiles, together with the installation of automation equipment and minor fabrication works.
Duties and Responsibilities Install, assemble and fit sliding, cantilever, swing and bi-parting gate systems, including structural posts, support frames and mechanical components.
Align, adjust and secure rollers, guide tracks, carriage systems, hinges and pivot assemblies to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
Install and fit boom barriers, turnstiles and other automated access systems in accordance with engineering specifications and Australian standards.
Install gate motors, boom barrier operators, safety devices and access control equipment, including keypads, card readers and intercom systems.
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling and assist with the commissioning,



testing and adjustment of automation and control systems.
Inspect, test and troubleshoot mechanical and automation systems to identify faults and carry out necessary adjustments or repairs.
Perform minor MIG welding, fabrication and modification of brackets, mounting plates and structural components to support installation requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, installation plans, wiring diagrams and technical specifications to complete installations accurately.
Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments to assemble, fit and adjust mechanical components.
Maintain a secure work workplace by complying with workplace health and safety procedures, quality standards and company policies.
Skills Requirements With relevant experience in gate installation, mechanical fitting or automated access systems.
