We're seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for an immediate start in a full-time, 7-month casual assignment through to the end of January . Enjoy the prospect to work within a reliable and supportive local government setting while contributing to an essential payroll function.
Based in Box Hill, you'll play a key role in the end-to-end payroll function, supporting a workforce of approximately 1,200 employees. The role is responsible for processing payroll transactions, including manual timesheets per pay cycle), leave entries, new starters, terminations, payroll amendments and responding to employee payroll enquiries. Payroll is processed on a fortnightly basis.
To be successful, you'll have:
Demonstrated experience in a high-volume payroll environment
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and payroll best practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
