Position The Oncology Unit is currently supported by three experienced medical oncologists who provide comprehensive care through daily outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and telehealth services to regional hospitals.
The unit operates a fully staffed day oncology service, with trained oncology nurses and pharmacists delivering treatments Monday to Friday.
While radiotherapy services are not available in office, the team maintains strong team-oriented relationships with local private radiation oncology providers and specialists at the nearby University Hospital.
The unit also participates in a select number of clinical trials and is eager to expand its research capabilities with the addition of another Medical Oncologist.
Hospital The hospital has undergone a major overhaul and expansion, doubling its number of beds to over 300.
It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest level of patient care and comfort,



including being the first regional hospital in Queensland with a complete integrated electronic medical record.
Accredited for training by several colleges, it provides various specialist services.
The hospital is closely affiliated with the local and regional medical school, offering academic opportunities.
