Salary: $109,513.56 to $127,034.96 p/a + superannuation.

Civil Design Engineer

As a Civil Design Engineer at Ku-ring-gai Council, you’ll take ownership of diverse infrastructure projects — from roads and drainage to traffic and public domain improvements — delivering smart, practical designs from concept through to construction.

Your Duties (Responsibilities) will include, but are not limited to:

- Deliver civil design projects end-to‑end — from concept through to construction.
- Prepare detailed designs, specifications and cost estimates.
- Coordinate consultants, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support project delivery with technical advice during construction.
- Embed sustainable design principles (ESD & WSUD) into all projects.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

- Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years experience.




- Strong capability in Civil 3D / 12D, DRAINS / Truflow and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards, materials and construction methods.
- Experience in project coordination, estimating and reporting.
- Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving and communication skills.
