The Snowline Hotel is an iconic pub in the Harrietville community and surrounding regions, having been voted the #1 pub in the area. Our historic pub and motel are located on the base of Mt Hotham; and is especially bustling and vibrant during our summer months and the snow season.

Whilst the pub is currently closed and undergoing exciting renovations; we are looking for a agile and enthusiastic individual to join the Snowline family as a full-time Venue Manager.

As the Venue Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pub and motel’s operations, including (but not limited to) staff, bar, kitchen, marketing, training, housekeeping and IT. The motel has 22 rooms.

We are looking for a hospitality professional who is willing to make a long‑term commitment to the beautiful Bright region not just for the job, but the Alpine lifestyle.

This role will commence mid 2026 - the successful candidate will begin their journey at our other establishment in Wandiligong, and take over the Snowline Hotel when it reopens (approx. July 2026).

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of hotel/motel operations, including staff management, budgeting, inventory control and compliance with relevant regulations
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, local authorities and the community
- Ensuring all OH&S; procedures are strictly adhered to
- Supervise audits of kitchen and bar inventory levels
- Identify opportunities to build sales and revenue,



whilst controlling costs
- Overall venue profitability
- Collaborate with upper management to meet all KPI targets
- Ensuring the highest level of customer service for our patrons

What you bring to the role:

- Passion for the hospitality industry
- Hands‑on approach - don't hide away in the office
- Minimum 4-years experience in hospitality management along with solid experience working in commercial kitchens
- Menu‑planning and food‑costing experience
- Thorough understanding of hospitality industry regulations, policies and best practices
- Previous experience with POS systems (we use SQUARE)
- Experience in hospitality marketing including social media marketing
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- A mature attitude that leads by example
- Drivers licence and own transportation
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Business or a related field is highly regarded
- Accommodation experience is also highly regarded
- Assistance with accommodation is available if required.
