What you’ll be doing

Accurately interpret and identify automotive parts from customer and mechanic requests, using technical knowledge and parts catalogues

Source and locate parts from suppliers and inventory systems, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness

Utilise parts management software and databases to retrieve specifications, part numbers, and pricing information

Liaise between workshop staff, customers, and parts suppliers to communicate part requirements and delivery timelines

Maintain accurate records of parts orders, inventory levels, and pricing quotations

Advise customers and mechanics on part compatibility, availability, and alternative options when necessary

Process parts orders and manage delivery schedules to minimise workshop downtime

Ensure compliance with inventory management procedures and maintain organised stock systems

Provide exceptional customer service, responding to enquiries professionally and promptly

Contribute to the efficiency of the workshop by ensuring parts are sourced quickly and accurately

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter, Parts Advisor, or similar role within the automotive industry

Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components, and vehicle systems across multiple makes and models

Proficiency with parts management software and computer systems, including the ability to navigate parts catalogues and databases efficiently

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment





Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to various stakeholders

Attention to detail and accuracy in identifying parts and processing orders

Problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness in sourcing hard-to-find components

Customer service excellence and a professional demeanour

Valid driver's licence (desirable)

Knowledge of Australian automotive regulations and standards is advantageous
