Job Description

In this role, you will provide direct nursing care, utilising clinical skills under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will deliver education and support and undertake purposeful, evidence-based practice interventions for consumers, while promoting and maintaining the safety of all.

The philosophy of the Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (SMHRU) is to provide effective mental health care in a protected and secure environment, achieving a balance between society's expectations of safety and the consumers' right to the least restrictive treatment option. The SMHRU has accommodation for 25 consumers and provides a secure, structured environment for rehabilitation.

About the Candidate

- Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification relevant to the position, is mandatory.
- The successful candidate will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on‑call roster.

- Base salary range: $75,573 to $80,204 p.a. (Nurse Grade 3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- On-call and shift allowances (where applicable)
- Plus a range of salary packaging options to increase take-home pay
