Residential Community Support Worker - GROW Coffs Harbour

Join our dedicated Mental Health team, supporting people across communities in Current South Wales every year. As a Community Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in empowering people living with mental illness through psychosocial rehabilitation via our residential recovery and outreach programs in Coffs Harbour and Grafton.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The positions involve working with individuals who have mental health conditions. The role is to support and inspire persons in recovery. You will be responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day structure including group facilitation, resident management, and service delivery.
We are seeking people for a casual position, and shifts include day shifts and sleepover shifts, as well as weekend work.
This role is paid at SCHADS Level 2.1 and offer excellent penalty rates given the time shifts
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have experience in the community services and at minimum hold a Cert IV in mental health or other in relevant industry Qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- The ability to work effectively with people and to promote positive attributes and work towards plan change
- Flexibility, resilience and the ability to maintain best practice under challenging circumstances
- The ability to work effectively to achieve programmed goals and objectives
- Current first aid certificate
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current Working with Children Check (NSW)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach.
- Ability to follow established support work practices.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with clients.
- Ability to follow individual support plans.
