Power Boar is seeking Electricians — Service, Fit-Out & Construction to join our dynamic electrical company based in Brisbane and across South-East QLD. These are full-time positions playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical services across our service, fit-out and construction divisions. Whether you're maintaining and enhancing existing installations or wiring new builds and tenant fit-outs from the ground up, you'll be at the forefront of our operations — ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. These roles are essential to Power Boar's reputation for reliability and excellence in the electrical contracting industry.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Minor Works

- Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of electrical systems, equipment and installations at customer premises
- Perform minor electrical works including socket installations, light fitting replacements, switch upgrades and general rewiring tasks
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide professional advice to customers regarding their electrical needs and recommend solutions

Fit-Out & Construction

- Install and commission electrical systems in new builds, refurbishments and tenant fit-outs — including power, lighting, data and fire detection rough-in
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and specifications
- Coordinate with other trades (mechanical, hydraulic, fire) to deliver projects on programme
- Install distribution boards, submains, cable containment and final circuits in commercial and industrial environments
- Conduct progressive and final testing in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and project specifications

Across All Roles

- Test electrical installations and systems to ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and safety regulations




- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job reports, test sheets and customer sign-offs
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and safe, adhering to WHS guidelines
- Communicate effectively with customers, site supervisors and project managers
- Comply with all relevant legislation, including the Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000), the National Electrical Code of Practice and state-based electrical regulations

What We're Looking For

- Current Electrical Licence (Provisional or Unrestricted) recognised in Queensland
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of: domestic/light commercial service work, commercial fit-out, or new construction electrical
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices and AS/NZS 3000
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
- Excellent communication skills — whether dealing with customers on service calls or coordinating with trades on a construction site
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work at varying heights
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- EWP (Elevating Work Platform) ticket — desirable




- Experience with Clipsal C-Bus, KNX or lighting control systems — desirable
