Support Worker | Help people live independently at home

Sues Home Care Nursing Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW

Casual | Sydney | Lower North Shore, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs & Inner West.

At Sue’s Home Care, we believe great care should feel personal, thoughtful and seamlessly integrated into everyday life.

We support older people across Sydney to live safely and independently in the comfort of their own home, with care that is warm, discreet and genuinely person‑centred.

Founded on the belief that people deserve to maintain dignity, familiarity and independence for as long as possible, our team delivers tailored home care backed by clinical oversight and meaningful long‑term relationships.

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide one‑on‑one support to clients in their homes and within the community, helping them maintain independence, wellbeing and connection to the life they know and love.

No two days are the same, and no two clients are the same. We are looking for people who are adaptable, emotionally intelligent and genuinely enjoy supporting others in a calm, respectful and thoughtful way.

Key Responsibilities

- Personal care and daily living support
- Community access and social engagement
- Meal preparation, light household duties and companionship
- Supporting clients with routines that promote independence and wellbeing
- Building warm, respectful relationships with clients and families

- Supporting clients with complex behaviours where required
- Maintaining clear and accurate documentation

About You

You are kind, dependable and grounded, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

You understand that great care is not just about completing tasks — it is about helping people feel protected, comfortable, respected and supported in their own home.

You will also have:

An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

Valid First Aid and CPR certification

Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliability, flexibility and professionalism

Experience in aged care, disability support or home care is highly regarded, but not essential. We value warmth, attitude and a willingness to learn.

What We Offer

- A supportive and professional team environment
- Ongoing guidance from experienced clinical leaders
- Reliable, ongoing work opportunities
- Flexible work arrangements and work‑life balance
- Competitive remuneration
- The opportunity to build meaningful, long‑term relationships with clients
- A workplace culture built on kindness, respect and genuine care

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference in people's lives, we would love to hear from you.
