Cree8 is a specialist commercial fit-out contractor delivering ceilings, partitions, carpentry and plastering packages across South East Queensland. We work on a strong pipeline of commercial, retail, health and education projects, and we’re known for a high standard of finish, reliable programme delivery and a genuinely supportive site culture. As we grow our order book, we’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead delivery on our SEQ projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager / Construction Manager, you’ll take day‑to‑day responsibility for the safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery of ceilings and partitions packages — from set‑out and mobilisation through to practical completion. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who knows the trade, leads from the front, and can keep subcontractors, programme and quality all moving in the same direction.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, sequence and supervise day‑to‑day site activities for ceilings, partitions, carpentry and plastering scopes
- Manage subcontractor crews and internal labour — allocating work, monitoring productivity and quality of finish
- Read and work from architectural drawings and specifications; coordinate set‑out and interface with other trades
- Maintain and report against the construction programme, flagging delays and driving corrective action
- Own site safety — inductions, toolbox talks, SWMS compliance and a proactive safety culture




- Manage quality control and defect rectification to meet Cree8 and client standards
- Order materials, manage deliveries and control site wastage
- Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives and building certifiers as required
- Maintain accurate daily site records, diaries and progress photos

About You

- 3+ years’ experience supervising ceilings, partitions, carpentry or plastering crews on commercial projects — experienced Leading Hands ready to step up are welcome to apply
- Trade background in carpentry, plastering/ceiling fixing, or a related building trade
- Strong knowledge of ceiling and partition systems (steel stud, plasterboard, suspended ceilings, acoustic and fire‑rated systems)
- Current QBCC Supervisor’s License (essential)
- Current White Card and Australian driver’s license (essential); First Aid certificate an advantage
- Confident reading construction drawings and managing subcontractors and programme
- Transparent communicator with a hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach under pressure
- Based in, or willing to work across, South East Queensland
