About the role:
We have a full-time Team Leader role available in Bathurst within our Accommodation Division. Our Accommodation Division offers support to individuals living with disability, in a diverse range of housing options, that meets the individuals needs. As a Team Leader, you'll supervise the smooth operations of group homes, with participants that require 24/7 care. We'll support you along your carer journey and give you the opportunity to develop into the best leader you can be.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of passionate Disability Support Workers and empower them to provide high quality supports to participants
- Communicating with families, guardians and a variety of stakeholders as required to discuss participants progress and barriers
- Assisting participants with daily tasks such as personal care, health and hygiene while making their dignity and independence a top priority
- Assisting participants to work towards achieving their goals and aspirations
- Supporting and guiding Disability Support Workers to develop their knowledge and skills
- Maintaining compliance with participant and staff records within your area of responsibility
- Maintaining the day-to-day roster schedule and filling shifts as required within your area of responsibility
- Foster a culture of inclusion, respect and continuous improvement
Are You Our Ideal Candidate? We're looking for someone with the following:
- Previous leadership experience within disability - extremely desirable
- Previous leadership experience - highly desirable
- Understanding of the NDIS and achieving person centred outcomes
- Strong computer skills and experience using data management systems
- First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Worker Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- Positive and professional attitude and approach to work
