Due to continued growth, our Portland Branch is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in a dual Workshop / Field Service capacity.
This is not a repetitive metro dealership role - this position offers real variety, autonomy and ownership within a busy regional branch.

The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting onsite and in workshop
- Repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, hydraulics and equipment systems
- Preventative servicing and fleet reliability
- Coordinating parts procurement and supplier communication
- Using modern diagnostics and testing equipment
- Maintaining accurate service records
- Providing technical support to customers and team members
- Reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards

What We're Looking For
- Trade qualified Diesel Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter
- Minimum 2+ years practical experience (more highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Professional communication skills and customer focus
- Victorian driver's licence
- HR & EWP licence (desirable)
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
