About the role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at our Clyde North location in Victoria. This is a part-time position offering flexibility alongside a dynamic work environment. As a Barista, you will be the face of our café, crafting exceptional coffee and beverages whilst creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence in the hospitality and beverage industry.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffees, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
- Operate and maintain espresso machines and other café equipment, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and functioning optimally
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing knowledgeable recommendations and responding to special requests
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Process payments using point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Stock and manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups,



and other beverage ingredients
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during service periods
- Follow food safety protocols and comply with all relevant food handling regulations

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar café or beverage service role
- Solid knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation
- Certification in barista skills or coffee preparation (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during busy service periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency in quality
- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work part-time hours
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous learning and improvement
