Role Description The Accountant at Growths Lab is a part-time, remote role responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and maintaining accurate financial records. Typical tasks include recording transactions, preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

The role also involves monitoring cash flow, supporting month-end and quarter-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant may collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and contribute to process improvements that enhance financial efficiency and control.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools; advanced Excel skills).




- Experience preparing budgets, managing cash flow, and supporting financial planning and analysis.
- Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and present clear, concise financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation, and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort working remotely, managing multiple priorities independently, and meeting deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; skilled certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a growth-oriented, consulting, or startup environment is beneficial.
