This role sits across three diverse and complementary businesses - WA Utilities, WA Drilling and Yidarra Group, operating across civil construction, utilities, trenchless/HDD and local government contracts and project specific works.
You’ll work closely with the Company Accountant and operational teams, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy and likes being part of a busy, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts inbox and respond to supplier and internal queries.
- Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly, matching to purchase orders where applicable.
- Follow up invoice approvals with managers and supervisors.
- Prepare the weekly payment run for review by the Company Accountant.
- Reconcile supplier statements, credit cards and fuel cards,
and follow up outstanding receipts.
- Set up new suppliers for approval, including verification of ABN, GST status and bank details.
- Assist with customer invoicing and collating documentation for progress claims.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate finance filing and records.
- Support month-end processing and provide administrative support to the Company Accountant.
- Perform other finance administration duties as reasonably required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous accounts payable or finance administration experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound Excel and general computer skills.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confident communicator who is comfortable following up approvals and information.
- Experience in a construction, civil, utilities or trades business would be an advantage.
