We operate a large-scale outdoor piggery with a strong focus on production, quality, and continuous improvement. Our team is hands-on, practical, and values-driven – and we’re now looking for someone to help us stay on top of the admin that keeps things running.
Full Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week) to provide maternity leave cover for approximately 9–12 months.
This role is ideal for an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial administration.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring suppliers are paid on time, customer accounts are maintained accurately, and financial records are up to date.
Your responsibilities will include
- Processing supplier invoices and payments.
- Raising and issuing customer invoices.
- Managing debtor collections and customer account enquiries.
- Reconciling supplier statements and customer accounts.
- Processing and allocating customer payments.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end financial processes.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Liaising with suppliers,
customers and internal stakeholders.
- Providing general administrative support to the Finance team.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable position.
- Demonstrated experience using Xero accounting software, including processing invoices, allocating payments, reconciliations and maintaining creditor and debtor accounts.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting and filtering data, reconciliations and working with financial spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.
