- Manage project operations inaccordance with project directives and deliverables
- Ensure site WHS is maintained at alltimes
- Participate in bid process asdirected, provide constructability, programming and project implementationstrategies for inclusion within the bid submission
- Provide oversight and guidance ontrade package scoping
- Identification of areas of risk andopportunities in each tender
- Monitoring of cost plans andpractical cost saving design solutions for execution by design consultant
- Liaise with the Site Manager toascertain any design errors, omissions and ambiguity for follow up andresolution with the relevant authority
- Liaise with the ContractsAdministrator and Contracts Manager to assist in the development of commercialstrategy
- In conjunction with the Site Managerdevelop and monitor construction programs and liaise with the ConstructionManager / Contracts Manager highlighting areas of progress or deficiency
- Ensure records are kept relating toand maintain contact and communication with clients, consultants,subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities
- Identification of areas of risk andopportunities in the project and in each trade package for resolution with theContracts Administrator
- Participate in the selection andrecommendation of subcontractors,



the letting of the subcontracts and itemsrelative to market forces
- Assist the Site Manager as requiredto coordinate subcontractor planning to ensure adherence to project completionprogram and minimise operational conflicts
- Manage and approve materialprocurement in accordance with the Project Authority Matrix
- In consultation with the Site Managerassess plant and labour resource requirements for the project and communicaterecommendations to Construction Manager
- Assist the Site Manager to developprocesses for deficient areas as work progresses.

Requirements

Minimum level of knowledge/skills/training required to carry outthe job:

- Minimum of 15 years in the construction orcivil industry with senior level experience on major projects
- Recognised relevant qualification orminimum of 15 years in the construction or civil industry with senior level experienceon major projects
- Minimum of 10 years in estimating, administration andproject management
- Or other relevant qualification
- Or other relevantindustry experience

- Complete understanding of:

- Construction or civil materials and methods
- Management skills

- Sound contract administration
- Excellent time management, personnelmanagement and organisational skills
- WHS for Supervisors
- Nationally Recognised ConstructionInduction
