911 Customs / Motors is seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team in Dubbo, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles and automotive projects. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. This role is integral to our workshop operations and directly contributes to 911 Customs' reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, and fluid checks
- Repair and replace vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Conduct pre- and post-repair inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair requirements, costs, and timelines
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records and work logs
- Adhere to all workshop safety procedures and environmental regulations
- Identify potential vehicle issues and recommend preventative maintenance to customers
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete complex repairs and projects
- Keep up to date with new automotive technologies, tools, and repair techniques

What we're looking for

- Sponsorships available for right candidates.
- Candidates with PINK / BLUE SLIP authority will be preferred.
- Relevant automotive trade qualification or equivalent hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Current automotive industry certification or licence,



as required by state regulations
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles across various makes and models
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engine systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic equipment and computerised repair systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a quick-paced workshop environment
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workshop
- Valid driver's licence
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour and lift heavy components
