About the role

We are seeking an Advertising Specialist to join Popology Pty Ltd in our Surry Hills office. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in developing and executing advertising strategies that drive client success and business growth. As an Advertising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of media strategy, planning and buying, translating client objectives into compelling advertising campaigns that deliver measurable results.

This role is essential to our ability to provide cutting-edge media solutions and maintain our competitive edge in the dynamic advertising landscape.

What you'll be doing

- Developing comprehensive media strategies aligned with client objectives and target audience insights
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify advertising opportunities and industry trends
- Planning and recommending optimal media channels and placements to maximise campaign reach and ROI
- Negotiating media buys with vendors and publishers to secure competitive rates and favourable terms
- Managing advertising budgets and ensuring campaigns remain within allocated spend parameters
- Monitoring campaign performance and providing detailed reporting and analysis to stakeholders
- Collaborating with creative teams, account managers and clients to ensure campaign alignment and successful delivery
- Staying current with emerging media platforms, technologies and advertising innovations
- Presenting findings, recommendations and campaign results to clients and internal teams
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with media partners and industry contacts

What we're looking for

- 2-5 years of experience in advertising, media planning, media buying or a related marketing discipline
- Strong knowledge of media channels including digital, traditional, social and programmatic advertising platforms
- Proficiency with media planning and buying software, analytics tools and advertising platforms




- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities to effectively engage clients and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with vendors and partners
- Understanding of consumer behaviour, market segmentation and audience targeting strategies
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in advertising, marketing or media studies (preferred)
- Enthusiasm for the advertising industry and a passion for delivering client success

Pay: $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
