Summary

GoMicro is a small, hands-on Adelaide agtech team building high-accuracy AI and computer vision quality assessment technology for the fresh produce industry. We're looking for an intern to join our mission, push the boundaries of the technology and build genuinely useful things with us. This isn't a sit-and-watch placement.

You'll get practical, portfolio-ready experience across the full AI vision stack, from raw image capture through to on-device deployment, and you'll build your own AI-powered tools along the way.

This is a 14-week internship, with strong potential to convert to a full time role for the right person.

Responsibilities

Full computer vision pipeline

- Build and run the end-to-end vision pipeline, from image capture through preprocessing and inference to the final quality assessment output
- Train and fine-tune models to improve accuracy
- Monitor and track model performance and accuracy metrics

Dataset management

- Capture raw images and prepare image datasets directly from our camera setup
- Clean and actively improve existing image datasets
- Label and annotate images with a focus on fine-grain defects
- Store and query image datasets in Snowflake

Client and company data management

- Organise and manage client and company data in Snowflake
- Keep datasets structured,



versioned and traceable so the team can find and reuse them

Edge deployment and development

- Deploy and run the full AI vision model pipeline on Jetson edge devices
- Optimise models and pipelines for reliable on-device inference

Qualifications

- Prior experience with image dataset preparation and computer vision is highly regarded, but mindset matters most; we prioritise a proactive, positive attitude over years of experience
- A demonstrable interest in AI applications and the energy to match
- A builder: proficient with modern AI tools, with a track record of building tools, apps or agents on your own initiative
- A team player: proactive and willing to contribute across tasks in a small team where everyone pitches in
- Available for a near full-time to full-time placement
- Based in Adelaide, with good communication skills
