As we strengthen our Financial Crime capability, we’re seeking an experienced AML Specialist to help deliver our AML Reforms and Control Uplift Program.Reporting to the Senior Financial Crimes Specialist, you’ll partner with Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, Legal and external stakeholders to embed regulatory reform, strengthen AML/CTF controls and deliver sustainable business change.

What You’ll Do

- Support the implementation of HESTA’s AML Reforms and Control Uplift Program.
- Develop and enhance AML/CTF policies, standards, procedures and supporting documentation aligned with the reformed AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC guidance.
- Document current and future-state processes across CDD, ECDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, outsourcing and AML/CTF risk assessments.




- Identify and address improvement opportunities across process, documentation and control design to strengthen the Fund’s AML/CTF control environment.
- Collaborate across projects and business areas to ensure regulatory changes are effectively embedded.
- Support business readiness through training materials, workshops and change communications.

What You’ll Bring

- Experience in AML/CTF, financial crime, regulatory change, risk uplift or remediation within superannuation or financial services.
- Solid understanding of Australia’s AML/CTF framework, including the reformed AML/CTF Act, AML/CTF Rules 2025 and AUSTRAC guidance.
- Knowledge of CDD, ECDD, sanctions, PEPs, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting and AML/CTF control frameworks.
