Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team.
Candidates with recent and substantial Critical Care experience will be highly regarded, along with those holding current Adult ALS competency and-or Graduate Certificate in Critical Care. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong clinical skills, sound judgement,
and a commitment to excellence in critical care nursing. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, prioritising, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet defined patient outcomes within agreed timeframes.
A strong commitment to confidentiality is essential, with respect to all matters involving patients, colleagues, and the NBMLHD. This role demands a collaborative approach to delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centered care, working closely with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

What you will bring to the role
Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in nursing as a Registered Nurse including completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse. Recent experience working in an Intensive Care or Critical Care environment. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work. Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
